Welcome to Travel Unrestricted!

About Me/Us

My name is Lade, from Portland, Oregon, I enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends. I am a Dad of two lovely children and husband to my beautiful wife who deserves a lot of credit for being the chief planner for most of our trips.  When not working, I am either playing basketball, playing with the kids, cooking or reading/writing. Our typical vacation style is what I consider low key, We typically plan half the days for relaxing and half the days for activities. We strive to mix local and international trips within the year based on cost and school schedules. Look forward to sharing more about our travels.

What to Expect

This blog was created with the intent to share our travels with kids or solo, the essentials we needed/used based on location & distance traveled, the activities we explored, and most importantly to break down the cost of travel therefore aiding individuals and families to explore their states, countries, and the world.

Cost is often a barrier to travel because majority of people don’t understand they can travel locally and/or internationally with often times not an extravagant budget. Note; the information shared is from our travels and not reflective of a minimum price. I will strive to showcase from our travels, where some cost can be cut or gained to optimize your travel experience and budget.

Tone: The blog is written from a personal perspective(think diary format). Occasionally, I will add a summary section when I find myself getting overly wordy. The goal is to be direct, clear and add value.(These are my core tenets for this blog).

My Promise to you

Yes, I will have links from various websites that I may or may not get compensated for. My primary goal is not to get compensated, but to share with you only products that we have used in our family. If I can get compensated at no additional expense to my readers then why not.

  • I will only share products we use or have purchased ourselves.
  • I will not inflate our experience at the expense of my readers.
  • I will be true to my tenets listed above.
  • I will not doctor any images, what you see is exactly as snapped.
